About the Company

Brightwater Executive is delighted to be retained exclusively to partner with our client for the search of their Group Head of People and Culture. 
Our client is a leading multinational organisation headquartered in Ireland. With over 8,000 employees globally, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a leading global player in their sector. 

About the Position

Reporting directly into the Group Chief People Officer, you will be a key member supporting the Executive Senior Leadership teams. You will drive forward several HR strategic initiatives and executive leadership programmes, across organisational development, executive coaching, succession planning and learning and development across Ireland, UK, Europe, USA, and APAC regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the delivery of a strategy that attracts, retains, and develops high-performing individuals and teams who enable delivery of a transformational growth strategy.
  • Support the SLT in strategic business planning by helping to identify, prioritise and build organisational capabilities, behaviours, structures and processes.
  • Design and implement effective communication strategies, ensuring regular communication with the Senior Leadership team to ensure they are both informed and engaged and supportive in the collective accountability to succeed. 
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships globally across the divergent functions of the organisation, to allow effective influence towards change.
  • Responsible for delivering a broad spectrum of HR Services to various management stakeholders, including but not limited to executive coaching, culture and engagement, executive leadership training, succession planning, organisational development, H&S, and culture performance management. 
  • Act as a culture champion in promoting a high-performance culture. 
  • Coach and mentor senior managers, providing guidance, support, and advice in compliance with employment law in all relevant European jurisdictions, Company policy and best practice.
  • Ensure the HR systems meet compliance regulations and support analytics and reporting, to include metrics and KPIs that will be valuable for the business.
  • Participate in HR due diligence relating to all M&A activity to ensure all new acquisitons are integrated into the division and Group effectively. 

Experience/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) with a major concentration in Human Resources, Business or an equivalent
  • CIPD qualified with >10 years’ experience in a European HR Management/Director role.
  • Strong track record of success working at a senior level in a strategic capacity in or for large, complex and multi-jurisdictional organisation with inclusive cultural differences.
  • Skilled in driving change and transformational programmes.
  • Experience within a global organisation would be a distinct advantage. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills, adept at managing through influence, with the ability to interact effectively with multiple partners across the group and at various levels within the organisation.
  • Proven ability to provide valued consultation, build partnerships, coach and influence leaders and managers, playing the role of trusted advisor.
  • Demonstrate a passion for HR and proven experience of adding value and driving change through progressive HR initiatives.
  • Pensions knowledge and Health & Safety knowledge highly desirable.
