Key Responsibilities

• Leading and driving the regulatory compliance and conduct risk agenda by engaging actively with senior stakeholders in order to ensure a thorough understanding of regulatory accountabilities and to drive a positive culture that is customer focused
• Responsibility for the policy, procedure and control management in line with the Group Policy Framework.
• Reviewing of first line regulatory and statutory activities, frameworks, policies and initiatives to identify possible weaknesses or compliance control risk in the first line of defense.
• Being the subject matter expert for all compliance related regulatory and legislative queries, working with senior stakeholders to improve knowledge, competency and proactive risk mitigation planning which is facing the business in its internal and external interactions.
• Responsibility for the successful implementation of solutions across the business following appropriate compliance risk analysis activities.
• Maintaining regulatory registers such as compliance calendar, regulatory communication log, complaints, errors and breaches logs.
• Reviewing and assessing compliance breaches, escalate as necessary and work with the entities to remediate and resolve any identified issues.
• Preparing and presenting governance reporting at Board Committees and Leadership Team Forums as required, including, MI and dashboards both internally and externally including key performance indicators to demonstrate Compliance effectiveness.
• Participating as a member of the Compliance management team, providing input and support across a range of strategic and operational aspects.

Experience/Requirements

• At least 10 years of compliance industry experience, with at least 5 years in a management position.
• Experience in insurance and wider healthcare  compliance industry would be advantageous.
• Proven experience as a subject matter expert in managing compliance with strong knowledge in all applicable regulations and compliance risks relevant to an organisation operating in a regulated environment.
• Experience and ability to initiate, develop, maintain and review policies and procedures for the operation of a healthcare compliance program.
• Compliance evaluation and auditing experience in the healthcare space is desirable.
